Business Development Manager: Telesales

The above vacancy exists within the Sales Division and reports to the Executive General Manager: Sales. The core purpose of the position is to manage telesales operations, sales staff, delivering of revenue targets, travelling to meet specific customers identified through telesales, leading, training and developing staff in telesales. The ideal candidate will be someone who has successfully completed Matric, has a diploma in Sales Management, Marketing, Business Management or Economics as well as a minimum of 5 years’ experience in outbound call centre operations environment. 

  Key Performance areas:

  • Revenue growth;
  • Researching the market;
  • Leads database management;
  • Negotiating and concluding contracts;
  • Customer documentation and service management ;
  • Reporting; and
  • Coaching of staff.

  Minimum requirements:

  • Matric;
  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or Economics;
  • 5 years’ experience in outbound call centre operations environment;
  • Ability to operate in diverse multi-functional teams;
  • Negotiating and influencing at top corporate and government level;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Computer and administration skills;
  • Strong management capability;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
  • Code 08 driver’s license; and
  • Willingness to travel.
