General Manager: Rights Holder Services

The above vacancy exists within the Rights Holder Services Division and reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SAMRO NPC. The purpose of the job is to lead the Rights Holder Services (RHS) team in developing & driving the division’s strategic direction in line with organisational strategy and to ensure quality customer services to composer and publisher members and optimal royalty distributions through effective and accurate member record keeping. The ideal candidate will be someone who has successfully completed an MBA or relevant Honours or Masters Degree in Management related fields with a minimum of 5 years management and customer care experience at a senior level within a corporate environment.

Key Performance areas:

  • SAMRO member relations & Customer Care;
  • Strategy;
  • Management of RHS Division; and
  • Key client query resolution.

Minimum requirements:

  • MBA or relevant Honours or Masters Degree in management related fields;
  • Minimum of 5 years customer care and management experience at a senior level in a corporate environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills;
  • Extensive reporting skills;
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and be extraordinarily organised; and
  • Must be able to exercise professional judgement and be self-directed.
