JUNIOR BUSINESS ANALYST: Microsoft Dynamics AX

The above vacancy exists within the IT Systems department of the Information Management & Services division.

The successful candidate would:

  1. Have successfully completed Matric.
  2. Have successfully completed a Bachelors’s Degree in Information Systems (or related field) or have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ professional business analysis experience, preferably in a Dynamics AX environment.
  3. Ideally have basic SQL querying skills.
  4. Ideally have 1-year industry knowledge in the copyright industry and/or SAMRO experience.

The suitable candidate’s duties and responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, the following:                

  1. Participate in the creation and design of business solutions based on user requirements obtained through liaison with business users.
  2. Creation of functional and technical specification documents.
  3. System and user acceptance testing.
  4. Creating and maintaining system configuration and policy and procedure documentation.
  5. Participate in the guidance and liaison with users to gain an understanding of required modifications to existing applications, or new applications and post implementation deployment support.
  6. Providing on-call support and problem resolution for applications where needed.
  7. Sharing knowledge and experience with other team members.
  8. Maintaining currency of knowledge with respect to relevant technology, systems and business processes.
  9. Establishing agreed time estimates for allocated tasks and managing yourself for delivery and quality.
  10. Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
