PA to the Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Assistant to the Company Secretary

The above position exists within SAMRO in the Executive Office. The purpose of the position is to provide administrative support to the CFO and Company Secretary’s Office, as well as to provide personal assistance to the CFO’s office. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12, a formal recognized Executive Personal Assistant qualification, and at least 3 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant and administrative experience.


  • Administration and assistance in the office of the CFO and Company Secretary;
  • Diary management to the CFO;
  • General office administration;
  • Board administration;
  • Board and management documentation: collation and management;
  • Travel arrangements for Board members and staff;
  • Management of events, conferences and meetings;
  • Stakeholder relationship management; and
  • Management of general server folders and staff communication.

Minimum requirements:

  • Successfully completed Grade 12 with a formal Personal Assistant qualification;
  • At least 3 years working experience as a PA preferably with office administration experience;
  • Experience in legal secretary administration or board packs administration would be an advantage;
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to draft appropriate correspondence independently; and
  • Exposure to financial administration such as processing expenditure vouchers and managing an office budget.
