PERSONAL ASSISTANT: MD DALRO

The above position exists within The Dramatic, Artistic and Literary Rights Organisation (DALRO). The purpose of the position is to perform personal assistant duties for the Managing Director’s office and to ensure that the office functions efficiently at all times. The ideal candidate will have successfully completed Grade 12, have a formally recognised Executive Personal Assistant qualification, and at least 3 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant. 

Goals:

  • Administration and assistance in the office of the MD;
  • Diary management;
  • Board administration;
  • Board and management documentation: drafting and preparation;
  • General office administration;
  • Travel arrangements for Board members and staff;
  • Vendor application processing;
  • Events management;
  • Stakeholder relationship management;
  • Reprographic Tax Invoice quality control;
  • Management of general email traffic (dalro@dalro.co.za) and
  • Management of DARLO’s general server folders and staff communication.

Minimum requirements:

  • The ideal candidate would be someone who has successfully completed Grade 12;
  • Have a  formally recognised Executive Personal Assistant qualification;
  • At least 3 years working experience as a PA;
  • Experience in legal secretary administration or board packs administration would be an advantage;
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • The ability to take dictation and minutes (including transcription);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • A valid driver’s licence and own transport would be an advantage;
  • Ability to create good self-correspondence with minimal supervision; and
  • Exposure to financial administration such as processing expenditure vouchers and managing an office budget.
