Query and Research Consultant

The above vacancy exists within the Queries and Research department in the Rights Holder Services Division, and reports to the Manager: Queries and Research. The purpose of the role is to ensure that SAMRO’s relations remain intact through speedy query resolution and good customer relations with our composer members. This person must ensure that undocumented works are registered and royalties are released, as well as purchase orders are processed and payments are released to our members, and that all IPI requests are completed and processed. The ideal candidate will be someone who has successfully completed Matric and has a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a customer services environment.

Minimum requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • Excellent Data capturing skills (accuracy and speed);
  • Excellent system and process knowledge;
  • Intermediate PC and keyboard skills, including working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet packages;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Matric; and
  • 2 years’ experience within a customer services environment.
